GLASS SCULPTURES

Weekend Assignment #50: Tell us about an artwork -- painting, sculpture or other visual work -- which had a significant impact on you

I could not decide between these two glass sculptures.     They both facinate me with the movement that I see in their glass.

When I look at the woman diving in glass, I can almost feel the water splash on my skin as she breakes through the wave.  The beauty of the piece changes during the day as the light from the window changes.

 WOMAN DIVING IN GLASS

Below is the other glass sculpture that I love.

I call it the Glass Wave.

Again, it is the movement of the piece that touches a place inside of me.

It is near a window and the glass wave takes on the hue of the sky as light passes through it's clear curl.

It is a amazing piece to look at in the light of a sunset.

GLASS WAVE

If money was no object....

I would spend whatever was necessary for a piece that touched a place in my soul.

It would be an investment but only in the sense of the joy it would bring to my heart and home.

I think the Woman Diving in Glass is what I call "Eye Candy" ... and how wonderful to be able to keep it with you now with the photo.
Sometimes, when I cannot get a photo, I tell myself that I just have to "Take a picture in my mind... "
