THROUGH THE LENS OF A
OUR TOMATO GARDEN....
THE RED CROSS NEEDS YOUR HELP FOR KATRINA RELIEF..
My tomatoes did not fare too well this year. :-( Yours look very good.http://journals.aol.com/rjet33/CountryLivingSouthernStyle
Those are great! I wish my little deck garden did better this year! It was doing good until we had the dry summer & then horrible winds/rains & then when my foot had to be casted that was it! I guess I'll try again next year! Enjoy them for me too! http://journals.aol.com/psychfun/MeThinksTooThinks/Psychfun
I was the King of Tomatoes before I moved to the golf course. First picking before July 4th and always had enougt to feed six adults with fried tomatoes. Planted three varities and had a total of eighteen plants. By August I used to take the exsess to the hospital to distribute to employees and friends. Now I am restricted to a 18 inch pot, terra cotta and only picked two so far that were uneatable. I suspect the terra cotta pot has an negative effect on tomatoes. Any one else have input on that. I will begoing back to a plastic pot next year. Enjoy the Fall Season. Bill
