I planted this Wisteria tree about 17 years ago on Mother's Day. I remember my grandmothers wisteria in Montgomery, Alabama and always wanted one.
They finally came out with a plant that could take the Ohio winters.
Every 3rd year, it blooms like this.
It fills the air with a grape aroma.
It gives cooling shade in the hottest time of the year.

I think Wisteria's are beautiful. I didn't realize they had a grape aroma.
Mary Lou, what a beautiful tree. I love the smell of them. Is it normal that they only bloom every third year?

Beautiful, love the picture could be a postcard!
I grew up near the Wisteria in Sierra Madre, CA = I just loved those gardens and the house attached to it. I has been a historical landmark for years and now the property is being sold. It breaks my heart. Yours is just beautiful! Blessings, Penny http://journals.aol.com/firestormkids04/FromHeretoThere
