HOME

MARY LOUISE, MOTHER AND JOHNNY, BARBARA AND PEGGY.

BETTY JEAN WAS TAKING THE PICTURE AND DADDY WAS AT WORK.

As the Christmas Season approaches..........

I go home in my mind.

I go home to a place where I was taken care of and my biggest worry was whether Santa would bring me the gift that I asked for that year.

I go home to my Mother and Daddy, sisters and brother.

I go home at this time of the year.

I go home to find the real me again.

UH...OH.....IT'S NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!

Hi Folks,

I'm Tommy...

I know that it is November and Thanksgiving is weeks away but consider this when selecting a turkey for the big day.

You need to find one that is Huge and has BROWN feathers.

The legs should be Real fat and  BRIGHT PINK.

The Head should not have a Blue cast to it ANYWHERE and most of all....The turkey you choose should NOT be wearing a necklace that has a black medallion.

I wouldn't give this advice to just anybody.

Now, People...

Go out there and find that BIG, BROWN TURKEY WITH FAT, BRIGHT PINK FEET, NO BLACK NECKLACE AND NO BLUE ON IT'S HEAD (makes the Turkey tough and dry).

Happy Turkey hunting and one more important tip for Thanksgiving.......

All the Turkeys on German Treibien Road in Beavercreek, Ohio have been declared protected by law ( article 24, line 58) by Ohio State Turkey Survivor law.

If you are caught within 30 feet of said Turkey...Namely Me, Tommy.............

You will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the Turkey survivor law.

Thank you,

Tommy

THE PORT OF

THE VIRGIN ISLANDS ARE A GROUP OF ISLANDS IN THE WEST INDIES, DIVIDED BETWEEN THOSE FORMING A BRITISH COLONY AND THOSE CONSTITUTING A  UNITED STATES TERRITORY.

THE VIRGIN ISLANDS OF THE UNITED STATES....

U.S. PART........132 SQUARE MILES

POPULATION....102,000

It was a beautiful port. People drive on the left side of the road and it is a very busy port.

The town has small winding streets with many shops.

We enjoyed our stay there.

A WORLD THAT IS BIG ENOUGH FOR BOTH!!!!!

I caught this shot of a bee and an ant together.

Each sharing the same space.

Each...... taking care of their own business.

The bee wasn't trying to tell the ant how to hunt for food and the ant wasn't trying to tell the bee how to get the necture that it needed.

Humans could learn a lot from this picture.

GRAND DAUGHTER...JORDAN THE PUMPKIN PATCH ADVENTURE

This is one of my favorite pictures of Jordan.

We were looking for the "right" pumpkin for her to take home. The pumpkin patch huge and filled with pumpkins of every size.

I had walked ahead of her and found a great one. I turned to call for her and saw her sitting on a pumpkin, exausted.

We chose the pumpkin that she was sitting on to take home.

I had forgotten how overwhelming a pumpkin patch can look to a child!

I can't imagine being shut up in that cabin all winter!

MEMORIAL WEEK PHOTO'S

We took our Grand-children to the grave site of their Great- great and Great grandparents last weekend.

They were interested in the graves and wanted to know all about the people who were buried here.

We answered their questions and talked about how special their great grandparents were.

When we started to leave, the children were concerned because the grave sites did not have flowers.

They walked into a field and picked the flowers that you see.

Then, Lauren ( 7) found her purse and brought a penny and placed it on the headstone.

Our son told the children of a tradition in the Jewish faith where stones were placed on the graves.

We all thought it was a wonderful idea even though we are not Jewish. We all set off in different directions to look for the perfect stone to place on the graves.

It was a special moment when we each placed our stones on the top of the headstone.

It was a gift to our family members and a day that our grand children will remember.

POOR LITTLE BIRD...WHAT A HEAD ACHE!!!!!!

I heard a loud thud on the glass door in the living room.

I went to investigate and saw this little bird.

He or she was stunned and sat on the mat at the front of the door.

It was so stunned that it let me open the door, walk pass and take this picture.

I watched it and 30 minutes later, it flew away.

I was glad that it was all right.

Can anyone tell me what kind of bird this is??

WISTERIA

I planted this Wisteria tree about 17 years ago on Mother's Day. I remember my grandmothers wisteria in Montgomery, Alabama and always wanted one.

They finally came out with a plant that could take the Ohio winters.

Every 3rd year, it blooms like this.

It fills the air with a  grape aroma.

It gives cooling shade in the hottest time of the year.

I TOLD THEM 8 HOURS EARLIER THAT IT COULD NOT BE DONE.

THEY DID EVERYTHING BUT WISH IT OUT AND NOTHING WORKED.

I TOLD THEM AFTER AN HOUR OF PAYING FOR LABOR THAT I WOULDN'T PAY FOR MORE HOURS.

IF THEY WANTED  TO KEEP TRYING..IT WAS ON THEIR OWN DIME.

THEY AGREED AND KEPT TRYING ( IT WAS A VERY NICE HOT TUB) BUT IT WASN'T WORKING.

ONE GUY WAS SURE THAT HE COULD FIX IT IF THEY COULD JUST GET IT OUT IN ONE PIECE.

SO AFTER 8 HOURS...

THEY GAVE UP AND CUT THE HOT TUB IN HALF....WITH TEARS IN THEIR EYES!
